We like burgers, and we eat them frequently. For us it’s a fast go-to meal because burgers are so flexible, you can make them with just about any meat, and serve them with just about any side dish and as for buns, well, the varieties are endless! Tonight we decided to try something new with our burgers and it was a smashing success.
Let’s start with the meat patties. Tonight we used 2 parts lean ground beef to 1 part mild italian sausage. The sausage adds a nice amount of fat and great flavor. We topped off the patties with provolone cheese. I like provolone, it adds a nice amount of creamy cheesy-ness and a touch of smoke. Continue reading
